Decennial celebration of Philadelphia Missionnary Center

From July 15 to 21, 2019

Church story

Philadelphia Missionnary Center (CMP : Centre Missionaire Philadelphie in french) is a local church affiliated to 37th Community of Assemblies of God in Democratic Republic of Congo.

This church has existed for almost 10 years, so it was in 2007 that Pastor Roland Dalo had the vision from God to launch this church. It was on February 24, 2018 that the first service was celebrated. Philadelphia Missionnary Center is a crossroads that the Lord has set up for salvation of the losts. Hence the qualification of missionary: the church acts in all dimensions through communication of  God’s word and social endeavors. In this context, special collections are made for the needy, widows, orphans and young students. Every third Thursday of the month of August every year, a fundraise is organized to support some students at the starting of a new school year. On the spiritual realm, the church arouses the emergence of young Ministers of God through missionary journeys for learning as well as many other activities.

So it’s a place in the image of Philadelphia church described in the book of Revelation precisely in Revelation 2: 3, a church where fraternal love truly reigned. It’s the only church among the seven for which God did not made particular remarks contrarily to the others and it’s a church that really depended on God despite its weaknesses.

Church Extensions

In DRC, CMP is represented in Kinshasa, Lubumbashi, Kisangani, Matadi, Boma, Durba, Isiro, Kasumbalesa, Butembo, Beni and Bunia soon in other cities by the grace of God. For the record, it was in 2017 that there was the duplication of places of worship in Kinshasa. Nevertheless, the Church is facing to some challenges including the construction of worship temples which is ongoing and requiring involvement of all God’s children for its fullfilment.
